The trail started with T.W. Lyons coming to Baytown from Louisiana in the early 1900's to work for Goose Creek Grain Co. Some time after that it became Lyons Supply Co. and was selling food service items and was passed on to W.E. Lyons. Eventually it came to be Lyons Distributing Co. as it is today with the broadest selection yet and run by Randy Lyons.
My family has served the Baytown area as merchants since 1917. That's three generations now and should well be the oldest family owned business in town.
